Fight the Passive Voice with Zombies

    Passive voice is the slouch in writing. A sentence in passive voice is usually wordier. Passive voice is not encouraged in Technical Writing. The 'by zombies' method is the easiest method for determining passive voice in a sentence. Add 'by zombies' to a sentence and see how it sounds. The sentence is in passive voice if it is grammatically correct after 'by zombies' is added to it. See the following video:
